The Future Is Agribusiness

The Future Is Agribusiness

By Yudha, a GNFI contributor (Gosh, I really like this post. Thanks, man.) The wave of attention on food industry is increasing. World are getting more concerned about the future of food security. The reality of the most important factor (land) to produce it is increasingly limited because of massive use of land for housing and city development, on the other side the requirement for food continued to increase due to  population growth. China(as the biggest inhabitants of the world) has been developing strong and modern agriculture farming inAfricasince its agricultural land was converted to the industry area. Japanand UEA invest billions of dollars to develop their agricultural technology or just to convert sea water to pure water.

How aboutIndonesia? Luckily, it has a lot of natural resources: land, the coast, and ocean. We currently succeeded for producing rice to supply 200+ millions of our people’s demand without importing it, and we even export it.

Where are we in agribusiness now?
