Please see the flag below, and notice the green color, crescent and stars spangled at it. I know you must be thinking that it's the flag of a Muslim country somewhere there in Middle East.

I am sorry, you are wrong.

Lemme give you another clue. Find the picture below.

Yes, they are muslims, with Southeast Asian faces. So, do you know which country they are in? Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Cambodia, Philippines? Wrong!

Now you will need location. Please find the picture below. It's where they live.

Yes, Cocos Island is under Australia territory, inhabited by Javanese, Sundanese, Bugis, Maduranese of Indonesia. The population is just a bit above 600 people, where 80% of them are Sunni Muslim, they speak English with Indonesia dialect. Australia calls this island, Australia's very own Maldives.

And why are those Javanese living there? It was back in the 18th century where the British occupied this island and brought Javanese workers to work here.

Once, one of the island was under Sri Lanka, before then transferred to Australia under a pact signed in 1955.

I am personally wondering, is there any of them speak Javanese? In a book tittled Petite Histoire (Little History), Rosihan Anwar, Indonesia's most senior journalist wrote that there are some Javanese people living isolatedly in the middle of big ocean. They call themselves Jawa Kokos.
