Alila Villas Uluwatu has been awarded a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) international award for architectural excellence. One of just 13 international buildings selected, the all-villa resort on Bali’s Bukit peninsula is also the only hotel amongst the winners, described as a ‘star studded cast of imaginative and breathtaking buildings’. Since opening in late 2009, Alila Villas Uluwatu has gained international attention for its contemporary style, striking cliff-top location and innovative combination of design and eco-credentials, as the first resort in Bali to achieve EarthCheck (formerly Green Globe) certification for building, planning and design.
