Inspiring Mulyawan also explained, the arrival of Rio Ferdinand is expected serve as an inspiration to the younger generation of Indonesia to raise the standards of national football to a new level. Today, young athletes’ motivation in football has declined in line with the national football chaos. Rio Ferdinand’s activities include auctions of some clothes, shoes, and paintings of himself, with Syair.org organization and telecommunications company, Tri. The money raised from of the auctions is to be donated to Syair.org, which takes care of children, especially children with HIV / AIDS. Clothes and shoes will be brought from Rio Ferdinand himself from England, while paintings of Rio Ferdinand are created by Indonesian artists, namely Veri Apriyatno, Arief Kurniawan, and Liany Wati. In the activity entitled "Football for Hope", Rio Ferdinand will also be launching the Manchester United Soccer School. This football school is a project by Manchester United working alongside Tri and Syair.org. "Football for Hope" in accordance with FIFA's program aims to provide hope for the future and a brighter life for children through soccer. The Manchester United Soccer School is a program to search for 30 Indonesian children or budding talents to train in Manchester United's headquarters.
