First of all, I would like to say sorry for not updating the Indonesian food challenge reviews/pictures. Truth is, I misplaced my files and was too lazy to find and edit them. Ooopps.. ! Anyways, since I had a lot of free time today staying inside hiding from the typhoon (thank God it's getting much better now, I think it's gone! ) , I have edited the pictures and pile them up together. I'm still not too happy since I didn't get to eat all the food on my list, but I'm coming back to J-town in December! yay!

I had sushi at Sushi Tei with a friend in Plaza Senayan. It's out of my topic, but I just had to post the pictures. Sushi Tei is pretty well known in Indonesia. I loved everything especially the Unagi roll. The frozen yogurt is from J.CO donuts with loads of fruits. Cory had it and I just stole some of the fruits, I'm not a big fan of any kind of yogurt.

The cupcake was from Cory and David on my birthday, it was Red Velvet (my fav!). She also bought the chicken and beef satay from the street food vendor, I especially loved the beef satay (sate padang) for its spiciness. I cooked veggies and egg curry for us but it was waaaay to spicy that David couldnt handle it. Me and Cory ended up eating it.

Had lunch at my favorite Padang resto with a bestie, can never resist the sambal petai with chicken neck (trust me, you would love it too!) the pictures follow are from a sundanese resto in Central Park, I met Adis for lunch and we had delicious fried mushroom! the sambal was waaay too hot that we both couldn't handle it.

Cooked tempe with cabbage and chili for a breakfast (oh, how I miss tempeh...) , had meatball soup or known as Bakso at the small resto in Cory's apartment building and lunch with Chris at a resto in Central Park. The lamb satay and nasi campur were from Sate Senayan, one of my favorite Indonesian resto in Jakarta.

Gado-Gado at Carrefour food court in Central Park. Had Gulai Kambing with Cory, her brother and his girlfriend somewhere in Blok M one evening. The Soto ayam was home made and again, I made the spiciest sambal ever! light snacks were from a store in the apartment lobby. So which ones are my favorite? I would definitely recommend you to go to this places ; - Sate Senayan , the closest to authentic Indonesian food in Jakarta - Carrefour foodcourt, if you are hungry for traditional snacks and Indonesian signature dishes, this place has it all. Price is very cheap aswell. - Sari Bundo padang restaurant, downtown. You can see many options right on your table, but remember, if you touch you gotta pay. - Sari Kuring sundanese food at Central Park. Spicy food lover? go here and I guarantee you will love the food. Try Iga penyet for an instant, dont forget tempe and tahu!
