Indonesia’s ‘Atambua 39° C’ To Screen at Tokyo Festival

“Atambua 39° C,” the latest project from producer Mira Lesmana and director Riri Riza, the creators of MILES Films, will be included as part of the Tokyo International Film Festival, set to take place from Oct. 20 to 28. “The plan is to have the world premiere of the film in Tokyo,” Mira said. The movie, which follows the real life stories of East Timorese refugees in Atambua, a village in East Nusa Tenggara, will also be screened at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in the Netherlands in January next year.
