Inilah Platform-platform Belanja Online yang Mendominasi Asia Tenggara

Mungkin anda tak menyangka, bahwa internet economy (ekonomi berbass internet) di Asia Tenggara telah berkembang begitu pesatnya dan telah mencapai angka US $ 100 miliar. Dan di antara mereka yang akan menikmati bagian terbesar adalah platform e-commerce / belanja online.

Bahkan, menurut laporan e-Conomy SEA 2019 yang dirilis oleh Google, Temasek, dan Bain & Company yang dirilis pada bulan September 2019, dari 4 sub-sektor internet economy, e-commerce adalah berkontribusi terbesar dari angka yang fantastis tersebt.

Secara total, platform yang terlibat dalam bisnis e-commerce membukukan US $ 38 miliar. Hebatnya lagi, nilai pasar belanja online akan melebihi US $ 300 miliar pada tahun 2025.

Di Asia Tenggara, ratusan pemain berkompetisi di pasar belanja online, dan kini makin terlihat siapa-siapa yang yang mendominasi peta pasar belanja online di kawasan ini.

In case you didn't know, Southeast Asia's internet economy has hit the US$100 billion mark and among those who're set to enjoy the lion's share are e-commerce platforms. In fact, according to the e-Conomy SEA 2019 report released by Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company, released in September this year, e-commerce was the largest of the four sectors which led to the figure. In total, US$38 billion was made by platforms involved in the e-commerce business. And there's good news for this guys: The online market value would exceed US$300 billion by 2025. Despite being highly saturated with over hundreds of e-commerce players in the Southeast Asian region, we're slowly starting to see some potential winners. As of the third quarter of 2019, Shopee appears to lead its rivals as the most visited platform on mobile and web as well as the most downloaded and with the largest active users. The report covers the six nations where the e-commerce market is fast booming: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. While Shopee dominates two of the potentially largest growing markets, Indonesia and Vietnam, Lazada is on total control of four others: Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Shopee also is neck-and-neck with Lazada in terms of the most downloaded app, most visited and highest amount of active users. Other players such as Bukalapak, Wish, AliExpress, and Sendo are not too far behind.

Pada kuartal ketiga (Q3) 2019, Shopee tampaknya memimpin para pesaingnya sebagai platform yang paling banyak dikunjungi di ranah mobile dan web, serta yang paling banyak diunduh dan dengan pengguna aktif terbesar.

Sementara Shopee mendominasi dua pasar dengan potensi pertumbuhan terbesar, Indonesia dan Vietnam, Lazada memegang kendali penuh atas empat pasar lainnya: Malaysia, Filipina, Singapura, dan Thailand.

Shopee juga bersaing ketat dengan Lazada dalam hal aplikasi yang paling banyak diunduh, paling banyak dikunjungi dan jumlah pengguna aktif tertinggi. Pemain lain seperti Bukalapak, Wish, AliExpress, dan Sendo juga berlari cepat, tak terlalu jauh di belakang.

Dalam platform smartphone, iPrice mencatat bahwa Shopee dan Lazada mendominasi area ini. Namun, mereka tidak terlalu kompetitif dalam hal kunjungan situs web. Plus, kedua raksasa e-commerce Asia Tenggara tersebut mendapatkan kompetitor kuat seperti Tokopedia di Indonesia dan Sendo di Vietnam.

Sementara itu, platform e-commerce AS yang memfasilitasi transaksi antara penjual dan pembeli, yakni Wish, mengejutkan banyak orang setelah muncul sebagai salah satu dari lima aplikasi paling banyak diunduh.
