Twitter Launches in Dutch & Indonesian

Twitter launched in Dutch and Indonesian Monday, bringing the microblogging service’s total count of supported languages to 11. Dutch and Indonesian were the first two languages to be fully translated by a team of volunteers, who worked through Twitter’s Translation Center to translate twitter.com, support pages, and the service’s desktop and mobile applications. The addition of more languages should continue to fuel Twitter’s growth in areas where English is not the primary language. The San Francisco-based startup plans to launch in Filipino and Malay next, the company said in a blog post. In a follow-up post, Twitter disclosed that it has raised yet another round of funding — which should do perhaps even more to fuel its international expansion. News Source: mashable.com
