After incorrectly announcing that they would commence flights between Manila and Denpasar, Bali in December 2010, Philippine Airlines (PAL) have once again declared their intention to fly that segment, this time commencing in March 2012. Businessmirror.com.ph quotes PAL President, Jaime Bautista, who confirms that flight permission has been requested for the Manila to Bali route from the relevant government agencies. Indonesia transportation officials have conducted technical inspections but have yet to issue the required permits. 
PAL already flies to Jakarta and plans to service its new Bali route with Airbus A320 aircraft.
