South Sumatra, Jambi and West Java provinces received on Thursday Nusantara Pangripta awards from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono thanks to their innovations and breakthroughs in city planning.
The president handed the awards to Sumatra Selatan Governor Alex Noerdin, Jambi Governor Basri Agus and West Java Governor Ahmad Heriyawan.
“We appreciate those administrations for their success to draw development plans,” said National Development Planning Minister Armida as quoted by tempointeraktif.com in her opening speech in the national development meeting in Jakarta on Thursday.
The award is given to administration, which manages to synchronize its development plan with national plan. Among four criteria for the award are relevance, consistence, in-depth, comprehensiveness and scalability of the administration plan.
