Indonesia Beats Myanmar in AFC Cup U-16

Indonesia's national team U-16 thrashed Myanmar in the Group G first match of the Asian Football Confederation Cup U-16 football tournament at Rajamanggala stadium in Chonburi, Thailand on Monday evening. Indonesian's striker Terens Owang Priska Puhuri from Papua made hat-trick in the match. Another goal was scored by Helmi Madila Ihza. Myanmar narrowed the gap after its captain Myo Thura Oo scored few minutes before the final whistle. Secretary to the Indonesian national team U-16, Taufik Jursal Effendi, said that Myanmar was a strong team. "They have been trained to fight out in every match. They have strong spirit as they weren't feeling down even after they lagged behind by four goals," said Taufik as quoted by kompas.com in a phone interview. The red-and white squad will take on Hong Kong on Sept. 14. In another match of the day, Hong Kong beat Guam 4-0. Indonesia is in the same group with Hong Kong, Guam, Thailand and Australia.
