Bromo Tengger Semeru placed in 4 territories, its Probolinggo, Pasuruan, Lumajang, and Malang. Mount Bromo is one of the best mountains surrounded by sea of the sands for 10 square kilometers. However, I will not discuss about mount bromo, but the sunrise spot which rarely known by tourist or even local people. Can you guess what place it is?
The King-kong hill, that’s how people call this place. King Kong hill placed a hundred meters below Penanjakan 1 kingkong high is 2.700m from sea level. This place can be alternative places to enjoy sunrise if Penanjakan 1 full of tourist and can’t get better view.
From my point of view as a tour guide in bromo, I always brings tourist in King Kong hill rather than in Penanjakan 1 or Love hill. Even penanjakan 1 is the main spot for sunrise but if compared with kingong hill, king kong hill way more better in any aspects.
Some superiority of king kong hill are:
- Kingkong hill is easy to access instead of Penanjakan 1. Literally, King kong is 100 hundred meters below penanjakan 1 and the visitors also can reach this spot from “Cemara Lawang” It tooks only an hour to hike.
- Considering the best place to enjoying Milky Way and sunrise. Visitors don’t have to worry about space because less people know about King kong becau8se the road to go here is little bit “tricky” rather than other spots.
- Do no need to worry for being starving while waiting the sun, there is also canteen serves food and drink.
- Amazing view that makes you petrified. In this place you can also seeing three mountains (bromo, botok, semeru) clearly other than any spots and this is the closest spots. The sensation and the feeling of nature will makes your eyes always open and grateful for being live in Indonesia.
